CABIN CONFIGURATION: Both the 787 and 777 featured a two-class arrangement with Economy and Business. Both aircraft had a 3-3-3 configuration in Economy, which provides the 777 a little edge owing to its broader width. The 787's economy class layout may be a little cramped. However, since it is meant for mid-haul trips (approximately 6-8 hours as opposed to the 10-14 hours that the 777 would fly), the seat width is reasonable, particularly given that many long-haul 777s are configured ten-abreast.
