What is your favorite tidbit of information or passage of writing that made you think, âthat's an excellent little detail? †JT: The first thing that springs to me is Hannah [Waddingham's] remarkable accuracy with biscuit size and intake throughout scenes. I have actually witnessed her rip off pieces of food with her fingers to convey how much she had eaten before to the scene beginning [to coincide with] her anxiety levels. Therefore, if you pay attention to how many biscuits are left in the box, on her fingers, or being placed in her mouth, you will see that it is a very deliberate choice that demonstrates her anxiety level. (Of course, the expletives are embellishments.) It's a deft echo and a subtle indication that men and women often communicate in the same manner, even if they use different terms.
