This area will have two Marionette warriors and one sorcerer. Defeat all three; you may lure them out to make things simpler, and then go behind the sorcerer's position. Proceed until you reach the rear wall, at which point you will see a partial wall. You'll find a dead corpse with an item on it here. Take this item, which will be a Somber Smithing Stone, and place it in your inventory (3). You may now visit a smithing table and increase the level of your unique weapon. Smithing Stones enable you to level up regular weapons, whilst Somber Smithing Stones enable you to level up unique and improved weapons. While it's very simple to get basic Smithing Stones that enable you to determine whether or not a weapon is worth improving in the first place, obtaining some of the game's more advanced Smithing Stones is substantially more challenging. Some are so uncommon that you may only ever come across one.
