"The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" is a forgery of an antisemitic book purporting to expose a Jewish plot to attain global dominance. It initially emerged in Russia in 1905 and detailed how a tiny number of strong Jews would attack Christians' morals, wealth, and health. Of course, the antisemitic notion of a Jewish conspiracy is not new; it has been repeated by several notable figures, including Henry Ford and Mel Gibson. In 1920, Henry Ford financed for the publication of half a million copies of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," and in the 1930s, the Nazis exploited the book to justify their genocide against Jews (in fact, Adolf Hitler referred to the "Protocols" in his book "Mein Kampf").

"In addition to her amazing artistic ability, Dolly's humility is another reason she is adored by millions of followers worldwide."

"While I am honored and pleased to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I do not believe I have deserved that honor," she said. "I truly don't want votes to be divided over me, so I'm politely withdrawing," she said on Twitter, adding, "I hope the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame understands and will consider me again — if I'm ever worthy." To put it gently, Dolly Parton's letter takes a totally different tone and is mostly focused on the fact that she does not regard herself as a rock musician. The Hall of Fame has always had a pretty broad definition of ârock & roll,â including Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Donna Summer, Jay-Z, Nina Simone, and the Notorious B.I.G. While Dolly Parton is a country musician at heart, she has experimented with a variety of genres during her lengthy career. On her 2002 LP Halos & Horns, she even covered âStairway to Heaven. Take a look at this video of her performing it on her 2002 Live and Well concert special. It's difficult to find a band that is more rock than Zeppelin, but who are we to tell Dolly Parton what kind of music she should create?

Added another fan: âHoly crunk! I assure you, DollyParton embodies elegance and grace. While she may not consider herself a saint, she is unquestionably near. Continue to rock/country/pop, Ms Dolly. ” Benjamin Ryan, a journalist, wrote: âOh, Dolly Parton, why are you so divine? Allow me to enumerate the ways...

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame lauded Dolly Parton as a living great and a paragon of female strength on its website. "How does it relate to rock and roll music?" Gray remarked emphatically in amazement. He continued, stating that Parton's "unapologetic femininity belied her astute financial acumen, which is a benefit in a male-dominated profession." âThat is very pitiful,â Gray observed.

After Dolly Parton's resignation, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame refused to revoke her candidacy. This is what happened. This week, the legendary country singer resorted to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with the nomination. âDolly here!â the renowned country diva starts her Twitter message. âEven though I am ecstatic and pleased to have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I do not believe I have deserved that honor.â

Another critique is that the induction of too many artists is excessive. Over the course of fifteen years, 97 different performers have been admitted. [64] Induction requires a minimum of 50% of the vote, however the final percentages are not disclosed, and a maximum number of inductees (five in 2011) is determined prior to the ballots being mailed. [64] Typically, the committee nominates a limited number of performers (12 in 2010) representing a growing variety of genres. Numerous voters, including Joel Selvin, a former member of the nomination committee, did not vote in 2007 because they did not believe any of the candidates were actually deserving. [65]Members of the British punk rock band The Sex Pistols, who were inducted in 2006, boycotted the event, describing it as "a pee stain" and "urine in wine." [66]

âAll of us in the music industry have seen Dolly Parton's thoughtful letter stating her belief that she has not earned the right to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,â the statement reads. âIn addition to her amazing artistic ability, Dolly's humility is another reason she is adored by millions of followers worldwide.â âFrom its origin, Rock and Roll has been deeply rooted in Rhythm & Blues and Country music. It is not characterized by a particular genre, but rather by a sound that pervades contemporary young culture. Dolly Parton's songs affected an entire generation of young admirers and numerous subsequent musicians. Her candidacy for consideration for membership into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame followed the same procedure as that of all other artists.â

"I really hope that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will understand and reconsider me €” if I am ever worthy," she stated. "This, however, has encouraged me to release a potentially excellent rock 'n' roll album in the future, something I've always desired! My hubby is a complete rock 'n' roll nut and has always pushed me to do one." "I wish everyone of the nominees the best of success, and I appreciate the compliment once again," the singer ended in her statement. "Keep on rocking!"

A: Between 1986 and 2020, the Hall of Fame admitted 923 individuals, 70 of them are women (7.6 percent ). The following graph illustrates the number of men and women inducted each year. Q: Aren't those figures deceiving, given that a band with a female frontman, such as Blondie, counts as one woman and six men?

Richie Faulkner, guitarist for Judas Priest, was one among many who appreciated the nice gesture. âI believe that was a respectable move,â he told Dave Kinchen's program âRock of Nations With Dave Kinchen. âI believe she is aware of her brand, which did not necessarily fit into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Additionally, I believe it calls into doubt the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's brand. Parton, however, would not be the first country performer inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Hank Williams, and country-leaning performers like as Brenda Lee have all been admitted.

Parton elaborated on her viewpoint in a Thursday morning interview with Fox: âWell, I didnât feel quite right about that,â she said during an appearance on Fox & Friends with James Patterson, who co-authored her new novel âRun, Rose Run.â âBecause my view, and I believe the perception of the majority of America, is that it is more for those who listen to rock music. Since then, I've been educated, told that it's more than that, but I still didn't feel great about it. It'd be similar to inducting AC/DC into the Country Music Hall of Fame. That struck me as a little out of place. ” Variety reported earlier this week that sources close to the Hall's leadership were averse to interfering with or subverting an ongoing vote, and were optimistic that Parton will reconsider if she is voted in, as anecdotal evidence among voters suggests she may well be.

âDollyâs nomination, along with those of the other 16 artists in the class of 2022, was forwarded to our 1,200 general ballot electors earlier this month for consideration for induction at our ceremony,â the Foundation says.

Dolly Parton subsequently received the news graciously on Fox & Friends, but explained why she did not feel qualified. âWell, I wasnât quite certain about that because to my impression, and I believe the perception of the majority of America. That, I believe, is more appropriate for individuals involved in rock music,â Parton explains.
