"The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" is a forgery of an antisemitic book purporting to expose a Jewish plot to attain global dominance. It initially emerged in Russia in 1905 and detailed how a tiny number of strong Jews would attack Christians' morals, wealth, and health. Of course, the antisemitic notion of a Jewish conspiracy is not new; it has been repeated by several notable figures, including Henry Ford and Mel Gibson. In 1920, Henry Ford financed for the publication of half a million copies of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," and in the 1930s, the Nazis exploited the book to justify their genocide against Jews (in fact, Adolf Hitler referred to the "Protocols" in his book "Mein Kampf").

A spokeswoman for the famous hall's foundation confirmed Parton's nomination with that for 16 other musicians in a statement provided to Fox News Digital on Thursday.
"Everyone in the music industry has read Dolly Parton's thoughtful message expressing her conviction that she has not earned the right to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," the statement started. "In addition to her amazing artistic ability, Dolly's humility is another reason she is adored by millions of followers worldwide."

To put it gently, Dolly Parton's letter takes a totally different tone and is mostly focused on the fact that she does not regard herself as a rock musician. The Hall of Fame has always had a pretty broad definition of ârock & roll,â including Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Donna Summer, Jay-Z, Nina Simone, and the Notorious B.I.G. While Dolly Parton is a country musician at heart, she has experimented with a variety of genres during her lengthy career. On her 2002 LP Halos & Horns, she even covered âStairway to Heaven. Richie Faulkner, guitarist for Judas Priest, was one among many who appreciated the nice gesture. âI believe that was a respectable move,â he told Dave Kinchen's program âRock of Nations With Dave Kinchen. âI believe she is aware of her brand, which did not necessarily fit into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Additionally, I believe it calls into doubt the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's brand. Parton, however, would not be the first country performer inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Hank Williams, and country-leaning performers like as Brenda Lee have all been admitted.
Parton elaborated on her viewpoint in a Thursday morning interview with Fox: âWell, I didnât feel quite right about that,â she said during an appearance on Fox & Friends with James Patterson, who co-authored her new novel âRun, Rose Run.â âBecause my view, and I believe the perception of the majority of America, is that it is more for those who listen to rock music. Since then, I've been educated, told that it's more than that, but I still didn't feel great about it. It'd be similar to inducting AC/DC into the Country Music Hall of Fame. That struck me as a little out of place. †Variety reported earlier this week that sources close to the Hall's leadership were averse to interfering with or subverting an ongoing vote, and were optimistic that Parton will reconsider if she is voted in, as anecdotal evidence among voters suggests she may well be.

âDollyâs nomination, along with those of the other 16 artists in the class of 2022, was forwarded to our 1,200 general ballot electors earlier this month for consideration for induction at our ceremony,â the Foundation says.
Dolly Parton subsequently received the news graciously on Fox & Friends, but explained why she did not feel qualified. âWell, I wasnât quite certain about that because to my impression, and I believe the perception of the majority of America. That, I believe, is more appropriate for individuals involved in rock music,â Parton explains.
