However, I'd consider these default graphics options to be fallbacks. The Low and Medium presets very openly reduce visual quality even in settings that have a little effect on overall performance. For example, in my tests, Shader Quality, Effects Quality, Reflection Quality, and even Global Illumination Quality all had a little influence on performance but were greatly missed when drastically reduced.

There is a very slight loss of detail, but it is unlikely that you will notice it in motion. Additionally, applying the UI overlay at the intended resolution (4K in the pictures) helps maintain the text's sharpness. The Quality setting also seems to be rather good, however the softness is more visible, while the Balanced and Performance modes should be quite obvious. We have two sets of photos, one with native rendering and one without FidelityFX CAS, which AMD recommends disabling, most likely because the additional sharpness at native resolution makes it much easier to notice when FSR renders at a lower resolution.
