Reki has always been Langa's biggest booster as the rookie trains and competes against some formidable opponents. He's always expressing how taken aback he is when Snow (Langas's given name) steals the stage, even more so when Reki's superb workmanship contributes to his edge. Reki jumps into Langa's arms after winning a battle against Miya at the conclusion of Sk8: The Infinity Episode 3. While Reki constantly extols the snowboarder's awesomeness, Langa is often more restrained about expressing appreciation in such a showy manner. That is why the final scene, in which Langa defeats Adam and leaps into Reki's arms, is so unexpected and amazing. Rekis is shocked and terrified of the abrupt crash, yet appears glad to serve as a landing pad.
