[89] The three mysterious feminine beings known as the Ladies, Mother of the Camenae, and the Kindly Ones in Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic novels combine the Fates and the Maiden-Mother-Crone deity. [90] Alan Garner's The Owl Service, which is based on the fourth branch of the Mabinogion and heavily inspired by Robert Graves, vividly depicts the Triple Goddess. Garner takes this a step further in his subsequent works, portraying every female character as a manifestation of the Triple Goddess. [91] The Maid, the Mother, and the Crone are three manifestations of the septune deity in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire trilogy, much how the neopagan triple goddess is interwoven into Marion Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon. Norman Holland utilized Graves's Triple Goddess metaphor to examine the female characters in Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. [92] According to Roz Kaveney, the key characters in James Cameron's Aliens are the Alien Queen (Crone), Ripley (Mother), and Newt (Maiden). [93]

Numerous sources corroborate the claim that novelist Robert Graves sparked the birth of the Triple Goddess with his 1948 book, The White Goddess. This, according to some, is when the Triple Goddess as we know her today was born. While there is evidence to support this notion, many believe that record of the Triple Goddess dates considerably further back in time.
