And it was during that time that McCollum composed what he considers to be his finest song. "'Rest of My Life' was my only solo composition," he adds of the album track he penned in June. "I really composed it in the wee hours of the morning after another sleepless night. I was in the shower at the time, humming the tune, and got out to create the song. I wrote for around 15 minutes and then returned to the shower. I've discovered that I create my finest tunes when I'm in excellent health and my mind is clear."
