Marc's newest resurrection (his third) and the miraculous recovery of the Khonshu statue persuade Marlene that Moon Knight does not suffer from delusions and is, in reality, the moon god's chosen avatar.
The creators of the second Moon Knight series opted to jettison the uncertainty surrounding Khonshu and Moon Knight's resurrection in 1985 with the series "Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu." Additionally, they abandoned the MPD aspect and converted Moon Knight into a more mystical hero by giving him a new suit with an Egyptian design and Egyptian-inspired equipment, transforming him into a globetrotting adventurer. Due to low ratings, this series was canceled, and Moon Knight resurfaced. Moon Knight was eventually saved from obscurity by the West Coast Avengers, appearing in their comic book title during the Phantom Rider narrative arc, when the authors reinterpreted Khonshu from a compassionate magnanimous deity to one who was considerably more manipulative and greedy. The third Moon Knight series, titled "Marc Spector: Moon Knight," suffered from a succession of different writers with varying perspectives and ideas about the direction of Moon Knight, and Moon Knight frequently found himself lost within his own comic due to the succession of guest superheroes from Spider-Man and the Punisher, not to mention that the writers were forced to adapt or modify their storylines to align with major crossover continuity series such as âThor: The Dark World.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, that two more Marvel Comics concepts, She-Hulk and Moon Knight, are headed to Disney Plus to star in their own standalone live action television series. Additionally, the Disney Plus streaming service has a selection of Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel-related material. Moon Knight is a huge admirer of mine. Allow me to set the record straight before we begin. Moon Knight is not "Marvel's low-rent Batman," because he is not. Additionally, I do not see Moon Knight as an exploration of mental illness, as he should not be. I've been a Moon Knight fan since the 1970's and continue to purchase his comics now, so if there's anybody Marvel Comics should listen to about Moon Knight, it's me. I have invested in and care about the character.
