Jim Carrey Liar Liar Cast

The film is Carrey's second collaboration with Shadyac (the first being Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the third being Bruce Almighty), Guay's second with Mazur (the others being The Little Rascals and Heartbreakers), and Carrey's first with producer Brian Grazer (the next being How the Grinch Stole Christmas). [edit] Plot

While the film was amusing, I have to say that Universal did a poor job with the visual quality on this DVD. I seem to be a normal quality DVD, not an HD DVD (and, by the way, I should mention that the bluray looks no better than the HD DVD does). When it comes to Universal Studios titles, some look absolutely spectacular, while others look pretty darned bad—and there appears to be no way to tell which is which without first purchasing the disc, inserting it into your player, and simply looking at it.

Liar Liar is dripping with Carrey slapstick â he alone could struggle with a pen for two whole minutes, so furious that he cannot speak the word âredâ when the color is blue. The film's finest phrase occurs when he confronts Max about the illusions adults tell youngsters, such as how making a funny face for an extended period of time does not truly solidify your features. Indeed, some individuals earn a livelihood that way,â Fletcher notes, referring to Carrey's real-life career (he got $20 million for this part). However, what remains from Liar Liar 20 years later is Max's anguish as his father cancels their hundredth playdate, and the spectator pictures Max as a bitter grown man, scarred by Fletcher's absence. We are led to believe that this does not occur, but while strapped to a stretcher in an airport terminal with two broken legs, Carrey delivered the most touching, heartfelt monologue of his career thus far, telling Max exactly what every once-ignored child wished their wayward parents would say: I'm sorry, I love you, and you're all I need. Furthermore, see Where Jim Carrey Went Wrong Jim Carrey hasn't done a really great film in roughly fifteen years...
