Harry Potter saved the world as a newborn by not dying. Sirius Black saved him from the Dursleys' neglect and cruelty when he was nine years old. Harry worked relentlessly when Sirius transported him to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, to become one of the most powerful and seasoned wizards in the world by the age of 15. He had already destroyed all the horcruxes at that point. He needed simply to perish. After seven minutes, his coven resurrected him so he could fling Voldemort's withered remnants over the Veil. For the second time, he had averted disaster. Harry Potter returns to Britain for his last year at Hogwarts at the age of 17, after assuming the family title of Lord Potter. He has visited the Book of Bonds and is aware that this is his last opportunity to locate his soulmate before they vanish into the broader world. However, Fate cannot seem to resist using her favorite pawn. Can Harry decipher the Sorting Hat's prophetic message in time to rescue the world for the third time?

I'm very disappointed we didn't get to see Dobby and Winky in the film, or get into the Hermione-SPEW-thing. I like to assume that the two have some kind of 'thing' going on between them... or would if Dobby wasn't so dang strange. Winky is begging with him to just find a lovely family and settle down, and for the love of everything that is holy and respectable, STOP DRESSING! They may then be together! He used to be an extremely handsome house elf; he hailed from a very 'decent' and'respectable' household. However, he has become more odd in recent months. Watching it breaks her heart! Dobby reminds me a little of Mr. Weasley. Dobby has a strange preoccupation with Muggle things, but he also has a thing for clothing and independence. They are both eccentric – but endearing.
This capacity of House Elves to manifest in places where humans cannot plays a significant part later in the story as well. Despite Voldemort surrounding the place with different defensive and preventive charms, and despite Kreacher being pulled underwater by Inferi, Kreacher is able to return to the Black house and inform Regulus of what transpired. Harry is led to a Horcrux by Kreacher's intelligence. It is unknown if other House Elf magic is much different from human magic. We know that House Elves do not use wands, and so there is a difference in the way magic is generated; yet, human magic seems to be able to hinder House-Elf magic, as Mundungus Fletcher loots Grimmauld Place despite Kreacher's attempts to stop him.
Without a home or an identity
After being dismissed, Winky suffers a severe deterioration. Dobby, Harry's nice elf buddy, arranges for her to work in the Hogwarts kitchens. However, she starts drinking and often weeps over the prospect of the Crouch family. She is especially concerned about Mr. Crouch, since she has learned that he is unwell. Winky cries that she is "truly embarrassed by her liberation!" (21.143). In other words, Winky serves as a foil to Dobby. Dobby was delighted to leave the Malfoy household, and he's relieved to be earning money today. On the other side, Winky believes she is a "disgraced elf" (21.143), from which she cannot recover. When Hermione discusses S.P.E.W., all she needs to do is glance at Winky to realize what freedom does to a house-elf.
