The avenue stretches for 1.91 kilometers (1.19 miles) across northwestern Paris's 8th arrondissement, from the Place de la Concorde in the east, where the Obelisk of Luxor is located, to the Place Charles de Gaulle (previously the Place de l'toile) in the west, where the Arc de Triomphe is located. Finally, the Avenue des Champs-Elyses is home to many of Paris's most prestigious museums: the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, the Palais de la Dcouverte, and the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton. Since 12 March 2019, the fountains at the Champs-Elyses roundabout have recaptured their enchantment, courtesy to the Bourroulec brothers and their six 13-meter bronze and glass sculptures.
