navigate to Settings > Notifications and scroll down to the Notification Style section. Select the app for which you want to adjust the notification settings, and another screen of options will appear. Here, you can completely disable that app's notifications. Alternatively, if you want that app to stop notifying you but do not want to use the nuclear option, you can fine-tune using the options below. For instance, you can specify how you want to be notified when a notification arrives. By tapping the small blue checkmark next to the Lock Screen alert option, you can disable that app's lock screen notifications. If the Notification Center option is selected next to it, those notifications will be quietly delivered to the notification center, bypassing the lock screen entirely. It's a convenient way to cut down on notification noise in your life.
